LABAREDA is back with a new tape and release, the seventh.
The label keeps on pushing and celebrating first works and albums of the most atypical and alien portuguese artists this time with the deep minimalist compositional, (and first) album from Sofia Mestre aka Clothilde. Twitcher was made and shaped using Clothilde’s partner, Hobo, homemade machinery and modulars with each track recorded in one take and filling us up with textures, melodies and sections of zero visible ending points echoing Annea Lockwood, Jessica Rylan, Oliveros, Maryanne Amacher and Radigue in a mesh of primal experimentation and awe.
52 minutes of deep listening brutalism.
released May 25, 2018
composed and produced by Clothilde (Sofia Mestre)
mastered by João Melo
Best album ever for driving down a deserted highway at 3AM. This album got me a couple of speeding tickets but it was worth it. Best cop quote ever: "Take it easy bro, you drive a Nissan Sentra." So true. I am really not that cool. 21
